The Vision: Eurovision

Loreen, representing Sweden this year at the 57th Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan won with her club track Euphoria. She led early on in the voting, challenged only by Russia's fun grannies and the host nation Azerbaijan.


Engelbert Humperdinck opened the contest with 'Love will set you Free" finished second from last. The 76 year old representing Britain had his lucky pendant, which was given to him by Elvis Presley, but it didn't prove lucky! He has sold 150 million record worldwide, received just 12 points in total, just above Norway.


The UK has not won since 1997 and has come last thee times in the past ten years!


Loreen racked up a massive 72 points on the leader board, leaving a trail of disappointed contenders in her wake.


"I love you so much. Thank you for believing in me," the 28-year-old Swede told her 


supporters as she took to the stage to sing one final time.
Euphoria has already topped the charts in five countries, including Sweden and neighbouring Finland. Norway had the dubious honour of last place.

"I wouldn't have been able to do it without you."

Bagpipes, blindfolds and water fountains all featured in a typically extravagant contest, as well as a celebrated group of Russian pensioners, who performed Party for Everyone, a cross between a traditional folk tune and a dance track, to rapturous applause.

Ireland, who were represented by Jedward for the second year in a row, came 19th - with 46 points - an unexpected slump on their previous performance in 2011, which saw them come eighth.

Their performance of pop track Waterline closed with the 20-year-old Grimes twins jumping into a fountain in the middle of the stage.

Cutie Roman Lob from Germany certainly got my vote, so did Norway! Check some of the videos of last nights happenings:

So theses are just some of the acts last night. Personally I think for Germany they should have brought Dennis Egel (you know the one from BGGT with the massive golden wings), although I really like Roman! What a name!

Get the Jubilee Look

Your Weekly Feed: Things to Know!

Hi Guys! Hows your days been? Or in some cases the dreadful exam week!  Nerve racking exams that make you lose most of your nails due to biting them - what good are they? But they are a part of life so we might as well just get on with them! Here are a few worries that some people have emailed me about exams:

Cherry, I'm scared about my exams, but i'm even more terrified about my parents getting the results! What do I do?
Well, to be honest you need to relax - at the end of the day it's just an exam, not the end of the world. Try not to think negative! You can do whatever you want to do! And about your parents - well if you have super strict parents that expect you to get 100% in every subject - then you're pretty much stuffed! If they are mocks or just pointless exams, then it doesn't matter what you get (but still try to aim high!). Just explain to your parents that the exam results mean nothing compared to your happiness and health! Also make a whole sob story if you want! If they are really important like GCSE's, A levels or whatever major exams you do in your country, then all I can say is your pretty much done for...:p

Cherry, I've tried my hardest but nothing seems to stick in my head! Any revision tips?
Hi! Here are some top revision tips:
1) Make funky revision cards! I actually published a post on it before! I was meant to upload a video as well but it didn't work! Oh well! You can still check out the post on the blog archive! They are really fun to make and so practical!
2) Revise with friends! Revising with friends is much more fun, enjoyable and most importantly memorable than revising by yourself! You can share knowledge and teach each other!
3) Revise in a quiet place with no distractions... for example a library. Try not to revise in a place where on your computer one of the tabs are youtube or BBC Iplayer! That will totally distract you and you dont want that!
4) Do not over revise! This is extremely important! If you over revise then you won't remember anything and will have a break down at the exams! Try and have at least 15 minute breaks every 45 minutes to keep you mind focused and fresh!

Bands, Music and stuff...

Have you heard of Hot Chelle Ray? They are an awesome band of talented boys - you should really check out their songs! They need to be more well known - especially the lead singer (ooh la la!).

Number 1 of the week?
Rita Ora RIP! I have to say this song grew on me - at first I found the chorus a bit bland but now it's constantly stuck in my head! Definitely check it out - you wont regret it!

TV for 10-14 year olds!
Below are a list of cool TV shows that you should definitely watch! I have only listed the channel that they are on in the UK - sorry if you live anywhere else! (some are babyish and some are for the more mature generation lol!)

Dani's House - 17 Year old wannabe actress Dani is constantly left incharge of her pestering little brother, but in the new series he rose to fame as a famous rapper and fullfilled his dreams (becoming a millionare). Follow Dani and her friends with her true love who she cant help always insulting, her friends which she drives away, hilariousness from the youngsters in the house! This is a really fun TV show probably for 8-13 year olds!
On CBBC

Wingin' it - Wingin‘ It is Family's series about a teenage odd couple. One half of the couple is Porter Jackson, a carefree sixteen year old Angel-In-Training (AIT) who has been sent to Earth to get his angel wings. The other half is Carl Montclaire, a fifteen year old typical high school kid who has been going through a run of bad luck. Little things seem to always be going wrong in Carl’s life. For Porter to get his angel wings, he’s been given the assignment of making Carl the most popular kid at Bennett High. It involves romance, comedy and magic! Everything you could ask for!
On CBBC

Mi High - Plot about teenage spies undercover in a school! Although the actual series has stopped, you can watch most of the episodes on YOUTUBE. Sometimes it can be unrealistic, but it's still fun to watch! I DEFINITELY recommend it more than anything (partly because I really like it!)

Blue Peter - Who can forget Blue Peter? On it's weekly episodes on Thursdays on the CBBC Channel, it gives you all the gossip, latest gadgets, music, coolest animals, arts and crafts and loads more that you should know for the week ahead! I always watch it and love it when guest stars such as Connor Maynard and Coverdrive come for an interview and perform! The fun loving hosts are fun to watch too, Helen Skelton and Barney Harwood! Not to mention the A-DOOOR-ABLEE dogs aswell! It's a definite MUST watch!

Book of the Month!
It definitely has to be what's hot right now  - you guessed it - it's 
THE HUNGER GAMES!
IT a great series of books following the fate of Katniss Everdeen as she fights to the death against 23 other people 12-18 year olds at the yearly Hunger Games! They have also released a popular film based on the book of the same name! You should definitely go and watch it, but I would first read the book (but thats my opinion! - if you want to go and see it first, see it!)

Fun thing to do : how to draw fake tattoos without them smudging!
All you need is:
A good quality pen
A rubber


STEP 1: Draw your desired design on your skin.
STEP: To avoid the pen smudging, gently dab on the work of art with the rubber. This will remove any excess pen that would smudge! DON'T rub the rubber on your skin or press too hard with it!


And there you have it! How to create the perfect fake tattoo!!!

Niall Horan has finally found some time in his ridiculous schedule to go home and chill out - if only for a couple of days.

He's been busy leaping around the world with his One Direction bandmates - Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles - for months, but has just returned from Australia and New Zealand to spend some time with his mum and brother.

Altogether now: ahhh.

And it wasn't just his family who were happy to have him home - random shops expressed their love too. Even if it was cut price love.

Niall walked past a shop with a massive 1D poster in the window with the sign "One Direction poster only £2" underneath it. Awkward.

Yep, we find this hilarious. Can you tell?

It was only a flying visit though as yesterday he tweeted, "woo that was close, nearly missed the flight back to london tonight! Last person on the plane, had to leg it!"

He'd previously written, "What's the craic! Havin a great time at home, chilling out! Seeing all the lads and that! Really looking forward to america now!"

NOOOOO! Don't go away again so soon. We don't think we can handle it. Come on! Stay here for a while - it's lovely and sunny...Oh, right. See you later.

He's not only leaving us though, but also rumoured new girlfriend, Ali McGinley, 17.

She's posted a few pictures of herself with Niall on Twitter and told The Sun yesterday, "He genuinely may be one of the nicest men I've ever met. We're close."

She's been subjected to the pretty standard trolling that sadly seems to follow any announcement of romance concerning the One Direction boys, but she also got some nice comments too. One follower wrote, "hi. you're BEAUTIFUL. And I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this s*** with Niall's fans. Best of luck with all this."

To which Ali replied, "Hello love! Thank you thank you, he's rather the stunner, huh? haha"

And when asked directly if they were dating, she wrote: "I can confirm that we're both happy campers, nothing less nothing more xx"

Ooh, sounds like more than camping to us, Ali.

Excuse us, we're off to buy some cut-price One Direction merchandise. Those posters are a bargain.

One Direction Nails!

Do you want One Direction Nails? If so, this is perfect for you!
Let's Begin!
Step 1) You will need to purchase ink jet tattoo paper that lets you create your very own tattoos by just using your printer!
Step 2) Print a picture of of five boys resized so their faces are the size of your nails and put them aside.
Step3) Apply a base coat onto your nails to keep them healthy.
Step 4) Apply several coats of any colour (matt white recommended) and leave to dry.
Step 5) Cut the boys faces and peel of the back of the paper. You will be left with a translucent sticky backed 'sticker tattoo'.
Step 6) Apply your personalised nail stickers onto your nails and apply a top coat to make the boys last on your nails!
Step 7) This is probably the most important rule - show off your awesome nails and have everybody gasping at them in admiration!

First Time Experiences: Groundings

Hi guys! Having a great day? Hope you are! So anyway, we are starting a new series where we write about fun or interesting first time experiences... Appropriate content only! Anyways, of you want to tell us about your first time of doing something -it could be absolutely anything - then email your mini story/articles to cherryvizzblog@yahoo.co.uk. !! Here is the first article, and this happened to me last night. As an only child, things could get a bit boring do I text quite a bit. For someone who only has 500 texts a month, that's not good. Since I got my new phone, I've only ever been past the limit twice, so I didn't know why my dad was making such a big deal when I went £1.40 over! My dad sat me down and made me tell him all the names of the people I text-so ott.!.?.! Then they went bonkers and my mum took my phone and laptop away, which has never happened to me before! To make things worse, they decided to ground me and not lt me out I the house for two weeks! So unfair and that means I will miss my friends birthday sleepover party! I haven't been to a sleepover for more than a year! My mum clearly said 'tell your friend you sadly can't come'. I didn't even think she knew what the word grounded meant! (I still don't think she does but...) You may think I'm such a spoilt sport, but the made me feel so upset and as I have my end of year exams next week, I need my laptop to revise! My dad seemed to not realized that and said I should use my book-yeah right! I literally locked my self in my room and cryed my eyes out! (I can get over emotional lol)... So some people may ask, them how did you upload this post? Easy! My parents took away my laptop and phone, but they completely forgot about the family iPod! So sorry about the boring post (no pictures, boring writing!) but I'm used to my laptop and it's kinda hard to write a whole article with pictures on the iPods (excuses, I know, but it's true!) Xx I don't want to lose contact with the outside world so comment below! Ps: comment below if your an only culd or you've never been grounded below! We'd love to know...!:)

One Direction's Zayn Malik's got the moves! This certain One Direction member is known for not enjoying dancing (I mean come on. Who hates dancing?!) but if you watch this footage you wouldn't even think about that.

The singer really showed that he was enjoying it looking hot as ever!!! During the X Factor, Zayn Malik revealed his fear of dancing but being around the One direction boys must have influenced him. It's said that Justing Bieber offered Zayn dancing lessons back in November 2010 so Biebers dancing talent must have rubbed onto him.

Talking of One direction, Niall's got himself a new sweetheart (at last!!). Whilst at home in Mullinger, Ireland, Niall met a beautiful girl called Ali McGinley.

Aaaawww, how sweet.

Lets hope they have a lovely relationship!

The Eagle has Landed!

Did you guys all watch BGT on tuesday night? If so, you must have seen Dennis Egel from Germany once again astound the judges, audience and viewers at home with his awesome golden eyecatching costume with monstrous wings! My favourite part of the outfit has to be the head piece, it really made him look like a real eagle! The window dresser even recieved a positive comment from Simon!

Dennis was literally soaring in the air in his amazing outfit! He was lifted in the air at the same time as revealing his beautiful wings! David said that he loved the performance and hoped that people will vote for him.
Alesha said she loved the outfit, but missed the gold shower cap.
Amanda said she would love to put Dennis infront of the queen.
Simon said that he had never seen anything like this and he loved the fact that he had come from Germany and that we should adopt him because he is fun, crazy and he also said that he liked Dennis and hopes that the viewers would vote for  him!

Unfortunately, Dennis did not get through to the finals on Saturday, but he will never be forgotten, I can tell you! Goodbye, Dennis, back to Germany! Hope to see you soon! Who knows? You may be strolling down Oxford Street one day in a gold shower cap and immensely huge wings!

Bieber: New Video

The loved (and in some cases loathed) Canadian singer, Justin Bieber has finally released the video for his song 'Boyfriend'. It was a number one hit in America, but it's slipping down the chart, probably due to the fact that the music video came out much later after the actual song was released!
In the video, Justin is seen flirting with a Selena Gomez lookalike - he must REALLY like her!
