Stock Up Time - Preparing For The Summer

It's nearly summertime. Well. If you live in America it may well be summertime already. On the other hand, fellow Europeans, I feel your pain. Literally - the cold is getting to me.

Now, I know that fantasising about your outfits for the summer can be quite satisfying, but why not plan ahead and take a trip down to the shops to buy (at least some of your) summer clothes while the shops are reasonably empty and not crammed with people (like they will be in a couple of months time) after realising they've grown out of their summer clothes and are shocked by the sudden heatwave.

I've gone searching basically every shop you can think of for clothes that are reasonably priced and great for the summer and even for the next few weeks if the weather takes a turn for the better (fingers crossed)!

Here we go!

Before we actually start, I just want to mention that this article is going to consist of different styles of clothes and clothes for different occasions, not just a sort of 'fixed' style.

Anyway, here we go!

(In no particular order)

1) Topshop's Bleach Denim Dungarees

Everyone needs a few dungarees in my life! Although I've never had any... Oh well, as I said this article consists of loads of styles so! This will go fantastic with a plain top or button up sleeveless shirts (you know the ones I'm talking about)!

Mix and match with dungarees - you can just throw them on when heading out and look casual and cute simultaneously! Fact.

You can get your hands on these dungarees for £38.00 - yeah, it might sound a little expensive for a lot of you guys (especially students), but if you think about it, you can get a lot  of wear from it as you can wear it by the beach (I don't live near the beach. Plonk.) or just going shopping with a few mates, or even when heading down to the corner shops! Basically, it's a good buy.

Topshop also has this is Vintage!

2) Superdry's Brittany Crew Neck
Now, I'm not too sure on this myself - mainly because of the price. This is ideal if for the cold summer days where you just need that one extra layer - basically compulsory for any Europeans or anyone who happens to be living in Antarctica. Okay maybe not.

For all I know, this may be the best quality jumper in the world, yet in my eyes it just doesn't seem to match the £44.99 that you would have to hand over to purchase this. I would like it if it was cheaper or my parents bought it for me. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, if you are loaded, go ahead and by this jumper. If not, pop down to primark and look for something similar a fraction of the price ;-)

Would look good over a vest top or a T-Shirt and shorts or if it's a really chilly summers day (or just late spring), pair it with any coloured jeans and pumps! Btw: I like its pockets.

Available in 5 different colours.

3) M&S Pure White Cotton Dress

Now, considering that the last two garments where edging towards the expensive side, I went on a hunt to find something cheaper, yet good quality. Yes. I looked at the children clothes available.

So, I went on M&S Angels, a branch in Marks and Sparks for pre-teen and teen clothes and found this cotton dress which I think is priced reasonably by only being £24.00.

Try purchasing the large or medium sized dresses if in doubt of fitting - I'm sure people with smaller frames will definitely fit and if you're a teenager then I'm guessing you'll fit too!

You can dress this up with a few pieces of sophisticated jewellery and black or shiny pumps for the more formal events or just wear this with your favourite pair of comfy shoes and a thin cardigan!

Available in one colour - white!

4) New Look's Coral Below Knee Dress

In all honesty, New Look is a great place for cheap clothes. Now I chose this dress because it's a very 'beachy' dress, and for those who live by the beach - this is perfect,

You could wear this for a first date or a late night stroll by the beach or river (I live near a big river in England by loads of restaurants)!

I don't know if I would actually wear this myself, not sure if it's my type, but it is a nice blank canvas to build an outfit on.

It can go well with a tan coloured belt, boots/flip flops/flat pumps an a thin cardigan to keep you warm if it gets a little chilly by night!

Basically it's a pop of colour and a pretty cheap pop of colour - a bargain at only £14.99! Available in 2 colours - coral and grey. Grey is quite a nice colour too, basically you could make all your accesories bright so counteract with the slightly miserable grey...

Moving swiftly on.

5) Hollister's Blue Dress

Okay, I will admit that this is slightly biased of me as I am slightly obsessed with Hollister and her 'cousin' Gilly Hicks. I am obsessed.

Actually, I do genuinely love this dress and would be prepared to wear it on a regular basis, plus basically a good 3/4 of my wardrobe is blue. About 2/3 of my wardrobe is Hollister. Yeah.

Anyway, I think the price is pretty reasonable (well, I would say that, wouldn't I!) at £44 because I know I will wear it a lot.

I would just pair this with any comfortable pumps, any colour as long as they aren't like a wacky and weird pair of shoes that doesn't go with the dress.

I LOOOOOOVE IT.

Available in one colour/pattern.

So, I hoped this helped you guys plan your summer wardrobe and most importantly give you inspiration for what to wear in the up and coming months.

An update of my life:
- I may be going to spain next year via my school to do water sports on behalf of the PE department - I just need to be chosen.
- I haven't seen my friend from my old school for 6 months you may ask why. The answer is because I am a lazy old sod who does nothing with her life.
- I don't know what I'm doing with my life. All my motivation to study is lost. I feel useless.
- Youtube is basically my procrastinating weapon.
- It's my half term so I'm free for a week. AKA. Catching up with everything I didn't learn when I was ill for a week plus revising for 3 exams. Life is not living up to its expectations. At all.
SOMEONE STOP SCHOOL. My life would literally be perfect if school didn't exist.

Cherry Out.

PS. Please spread the word about my blog - it really (believe it or not) would mean the world.

Cold Spring - What To Wear

Here is a little collage of some stuff that could give all ages some inspiration for what to wear in the next few weeks... yah... I don't know!
Have fun...

Catwalk Fashion: Wooly Madness!

The catwalk is known as the hotspot of inspiration for many high street and designer brand designers, almost like the building blocks of basically a large majority of what is in our wardrobes. I have fears for what we will be wearing soon based on the latest catwalk designs.
I was actually going to do the type of catwalk articles I normally do - you know, the collages, however I was just too stunned at this wooly monstrosity...
You never know, I might be strolling down the high street in a dead sheep by next winter and so may you. What a deeply worrying though...

I have left you with an illustration of a woman who got in an unfortunate fight with a sheep.

I'm off.

Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo? Here's Some Alternatives That Are Just As Good!

Walking down the shopping centre, staring longingly at some Jimmy Choos, Louboutins or Louis Vuittons, and having that feeling in your stomach wishing you had even one pair to satisfy your needs?

Yeah.

We've all had that feeling.

But, because nearly every girl (and some boys) have had that feeling, I have searched nearly every high street brand to find alternatives! I haven't found any red soled shoes, but I've found almost replicas for a fraction of the price of the Designer Shoes!

First is these Jimmy Choo Black Suede Wedges. A jaw-dropping price of £525!

I have two alternatives for these shoes ^^

Baxter

First are these Andreas Wedge Lace Up Boots which are over 7 times less than the Jimmy Choos by being £70.00 - Not bad, eh?
Now for something a little cheaper (and lower heel) are these Clarks Black Suede Boots at £59.99!

Personally, out of the two I would think that I would prefer the Topshop one. (I haven't worn them though so don't just rely on my advice!)

Topshop Wedges - for those who are used to wearing quite high shoes and can put up with shoes as they get less comfy during the day (or night)! Maybe they're comfy

Clarks Wedges - My mum wore this pair and said that they were really uncomfortable because the back is too short although they are nice looking...
I'll leave you guys to make up your mind!

Now for these gorgeous (slightly odd) Gucci Blue Patent High Heeled Boots - £560. I think I better find some alternatives.

gloria deep blue patent leather high heel bootie
I found these Debenhams Bright Blue Faux Suede High Heeled Boots that are, okay, not exactly the same - but close! And it's reduced with a price of £48.00 so buy quick!
This was a really hard shoe to find alternatives for - I even looked for different colours with the same design and found...
Nothing.

Moving swiftly on.

The price of the following shoes made me literally skip a beat. No, really. Would you be prepared to fish out £1895 for these Jimmy Choo Metallic Leather Platform Peep Toes? As much as I'd love to, I can't (like most people I presume), so here are some alternatives I tried so hard to find:
Kendall

Here is some New Look Platform Heels for £69.99. Okay, I admit they look much cheaper than the Jimmy Choos. Then again they are much cheaper so...!

Also, I found some more Debenhams shoes, theSpecial Edition Silver Peep Toes for a VERY reasonable and slightly reduced £28.80 which is over 65 times less than the Jimmy Choos!
Right, I am officially worn out after that search for shoes - if you want me to find alternatives, just give me a link in the comments below!
That was exhausting.

Cherry out! x

Snuggle Up And Sneeze - A Guide To Get Better When Your ill :-(

Hi! I know, I don't update AT ALL anymore, but that's because I'm super duper in your face busy.
Let me tell you a few things going on in my life:

1) I'm writing two books (one is to be published on wattpad so I'll give you guys the link as soon as it's up) and one is about a school trip to Barcelona in may - and coincidentally I found out yesterday that our school is organising a school trip in may to Barcelona! What are the chances of that?

The first one's called 'The Love and Aim Game' and is about teenage spies.... but I don't know what to call the other one... suggestions?

2) I'm taking part in the BBC School Report and I have two jobs - I write articles to go up on our website and I also (with a group of people) control and research what things we report about - pretty fun stuff, eh?

3) School. I know, the same excuse! But if you come to our school you will know what I mean. It's so much homework (like 5 pieces everyday!) urg.

4) I'm learning 4 languages. Yes, 5. So I learn french (I HATE FRENCH WITH PASSION) and Spanish (which I quite like) at school, but I'm not actually learning any french so I'll leave that out of the languages I'm learning. Also, every now and again my mum is teaching me Turkish and I'm learning German by myself at home. Also, I go to Mandarin class after school every tuesday. So that's Spanish, German, Turkish and Mandarin - not to mention I already speak fluent Farsi and English (meaning I  might talk in a language that might sound like gibberish to you and I won't even realise :-/)

5) I have a new hobby - editing and making videos! I have my first one up on my YouTube 'CherryVizz' (although I have about 10 more I've made). So please check it out!

6) I'm ill. Well, actually this is what the whole article is about.

Here we go with the actual post:

I felt SO SO tired when I came back from school on friday that instead of staying awake until 3 AM, I actually slept. I know, shock horror. By sunday, I had a croaky, sometimes non-existant voice and my nose felt blocked and heavy. Urg. Awful. I also had the odd headache too.

Here are my steps to being well in no time: (I didn't do a lot of this - maybe thats why I'm still ill after 6 days...)

1) Do not go to school, not even to get your books from your locker. Just don't. I didn't go to school on monday but I did on tuesday (stupid me) even though my mum told me not to. And I came back feeling worse than ever.

2) Wear a scarf. End of. Make sure it's not too ugly either.

3) Drink loads of tea. (At the end there's going to be a remedy for sore and croaky throats - my throat hurt so bad I had difficulty swallowing and I though I had tonsillitis!)

Also - have loads of liquids (especially hot liquids) but water and apple juice will do too.

4) Eat chicken (not fried) and (if you can be bothered to make it) chicken soup. This is really good for you. If you're bored of the chicken, get some prawns and boil them, boil some instant noodles and voila! A delicious tasty meal. I suppose you can eat fish too. If your a veggie then pop some plain jacket potatoes in the oven, sprinkle a little salt on them when they come out (no pepper or butter!) and you have yourself a nice simple meal!

5) Don't eat dairy. No butter, yoghurt, cheese. Nope.

6) Make sure you, er, urinate frequently (see step 3).

NOW FOR MY HOME REMEDY!
1) Get a cup (okay yah, I know, basic steps...)
2) Squeeze half a lemon's juice into that cup (you can add more lemon if you want later)
3) Pour hot water from the kettle into the cup and fill it up to however much you want to drink.
4) Honey honey honey! Put some honey in the drink and et voila!
5) Drink up, and drink these however often you like

Some other things I should mention:
Eat a spoonful of honey (manuka honey is best, but any honey will do) as honey is a natural antibiotic!
Gargle salt water every now and again as this is also a natural antibiotic.
Have throat lozenges (soothers) every few hours and if you have one of those sprays for sore throat relief, make sure to use it!
Oh, and SLEEP A LOT!

Get well soon :-) - OH AND HAVE CALPOL YUM YUM
