Introduction.

Hello, anyone who has happened to stumble over CherryVizz,

I remember making this blog two years and 7months ago and I had  a soppy introduction. It all started when my friend had a blog, and naturally, a couple of us started blogs in a bid to have more views than the other. It just became so hard because I was writing about things no one wanted to read, while my friends were writing contemporary posts, and, in turn, racked up a lot of points.

I've realised how hard it is to get your work seen, I know it too well, after spending absolutely forever on an article and checking back in a month to see it only got a measly 4 reads (anything is, however, better than nothing).

I've understood what people want to see, and how it is sometimes important to take a break from writing what the public expect to see, and writing about something that the public will be surprised with, but nevertheless enjoy. It's all about taking risks, and I haven't really done that yet.

It's so, so important to be organised, but who am I to talk? I'm writing this at 8:00pm, with two pieces of homework due in tomorrow. Not to mention, I have an online course starting today which I haven't even looked at yet, and I need to shower in 20 minutes.

I've also learnt how vital it is to be punctual (which, I still am not), and realised that I need to up the quality of my articles. Spending five minutes on an article, or spending a lot of time on a pointless article is not going to have as much as a rewarding outcome as an article I put a lot of effort in.

So, as of now, I will write enjoyable and interesting blog posts, while making room for other activities, on a weekly basis.

I've grown with this blog as a person.
So, welcome to my blog.

Packing٠What to bring٠Tips & Tricks

As some of you may know, I'm going on holiday soon, and I've packed my small cabin suitcase for all the clothes I need for one month! Now, the pictures may not be this good because I was in a hurt to pack and not have everything lying around!
This is what the inside and outside of my suitcase looks like (from Debenhams on sale). It's just standard cabin sized for most airlines.

Now, what I'm bringing is going to be different to other people because I'm basically going to be at home a lot of the time (due to the fact we are visiting family).

I was going to show you pictures of each individual garment but I don't wish to bore you and as I said above, they probably won't apply to you. So I cungered a small checklist for the typical summer holiday (vacation).

٥ Tank Tops
٥ Shorts
٥ An airy cardigan (maybe for breezy evenings)
٥ Sandals (for the evening)
٥ Flip flops
٥ Blouses
٥ T-Shirts
٥ Swimming Costume
٥ Swimming Costume cover up (something light and airy)
٥ Beach Towel
٥ Maxi skirt
٥ A jumpsuit
٥ Pyjama Dress
٥ Whatever cosmetics if you use them

Yeah... If I forgot anything, I'll put it in later! I'll also do (probably) a what do bring on an airplane/what other things I'm bringing excluding clothes post!

Now, here's a tip. Role your clothes when packing as it reduces creasing to your clothes.

Like so! It's simple really. That is my best tip and trick for utilising space and reducing creases!
This is my packed suitcase :)

Wherever you may be going, or even if your staying in old blighty, I wish you all to have a great summer!

Why This Blog Sucks, Holidays and Pictures

Hello you awesome people, I'm really sorry that I promised I would post more often but I haven't, (the half completed posts are left untouched in drafts). I've also realised that not many people read my blog anymore, and after a long while contemplating why, I've realised that I quite frankly put in a fraction of the effort I should put into this blog. Also, some of the subjects I write about are less current than Kim Kardashian's marriage.

No one really wants to know about my event less, socially deprived life (okay, I'm joking 'slightly' here, I feel like I'm slightly undermining myself in this post), nor do they want to know about rusty brief subjects where it is blatantly obvious I have no idea what I plan on writing about. Therefore, more often than not I end up with meaningless, pointless articles that just about manage to gain 10 views by the end of the month.

So, I have made a vow to myself that I if I carry on with this blog (which I most certainly will), I will put more effort into my posts, and most importantly, I should write about what people want to read.

Talking of my blogs, check out picvizz.blogspot.com especially if you are interested by picture blogs/my day in pictures. I haven't uploaded in donkeys years, but after this article I plan on writing a post on there, also including a few pictures of my latest adventure.

Check out my Instagram at CherryVizz, as I post daily on there and write the equivalent to an essay in the captions of my pictures, so it's basically like a mini blog, if you will.

Oh and I should stop writing so much.

I'm going on holiday in 3 days for a month, so I'll probably start writing articles and when I get back to England I'll publish them on here. Mind you, it won't all be about fashion and stuff like that, although an article or two will definitely be on the fashion of the culture of the country I'm visiting. It may surprise you a little! I'll also write about other stuff (like technology, what I did that day etc.) I have a few ideas and I will also be posting a lot on PicVizz (I'll have the link to the articles on here).

Anyways, I'll just be off to PicVizz, then I'll post an article about packing on this blog. Mark my words, I will! In the next 30 minutes. Oh, and thank you so much if you actually read this! Because I'm getting the feeling no one reads this anymore

Singing, Books and Studying

Okay, so I know I haven't been uploading for a long time, and every TIME I give feeble (ish) reasons, but now I have a proper reason: I have my exams in two weeks, it's basically a whole week of: English, Maths, French, Science, Spanish, Geography, History, PE and RS exams. I'm going to start learning Turkish again after my exams, maybe try and learn more than just Merhaba and nasılsın! My Spanish is great, if I do say so myself, yet my French couldn't be much worse. Everyday I say to myself, 'why didn't I choose Spanish and German?' Well, anyway I'm definitely not taking French for my GCSEs.

I've taken a turn for the better regarding my studying - I study Monday to Friday as soon as I get home (about 6-ish) and stay studying at school everyday besides friday until 5, and only get time on the weekend to do things I like, even then I normally have to study! But, today (saturday) I've decided to take most of the day off!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who reads my non existent articles from all over the world, it REALLY means a lot. Over the past year, blogger has been such a huge part of my life, primarily in the Spring and Summer of 2012. Now, I have over 4000 views on my blog (to some it doesn't seem like much, but to an ordinary girl like me, it's literally MIND BOGGLING!) and over 7000 views between my two blogs CherryVizz and PicVizz (don't kill me! I know I haven't been updating Pic Vizz at all-but I promise you I'll post more pictures!)

Talking of pictures, I'm taking a holiday in the summer, and on the way I will be stopping off at Dubai, so when I come back, expect a load of picturesque photos.

Do you like the new font? I like it more than the old font, it's easier to read and more.., open... if that makes sense...

I'm writing a lot of songs these days too, and although 80% of the time, I can't sing for toffee, I love coming home and for about 10-15 minutes, strumming on my guitar (or playing the piano) and having a EURIKA moment, or just singing songs I've already written. Now, I'm focusing on this song 'Perfect Kind of Guy' - it's sort of like nearly every teen's ideal fantastical guy, you know, next door neighbour guy who has bracelets snaking up his arm etc, the guy who you walk with to the bus stop every day for school and also the down sides of this kind of guy. I don't know if I'm going to sing it or just focus on trying to find someone else to sing it.

I'm still writing Wattpad books, but not as frequently. My Wattpad is CherryVizz and if you check it out that would be awesome. I'm actually writing a book privately that I may
publish in the future, I've already written about 20 pages, which doesn't sound like a lot, but when you're lazy me, that is like more pages than documentation of the titanic sinking.

Here's a little plot sneak peek I just conjured up (don't worry, the blurb and story isn't quite as pathetic):

Kingsley Mitchell is an only child, going on a trip to Barcelona along with her school and - the local boys school. However, spending a week abroad, stuck in a filthy hotel which health inspectors would shut down if it were a legal hotel, with a bunch of hormonic and adventurous teenagers, anything could happen.

Like it? It's kind of for 10-15 year olds, well, I'm on Chapter 7 out of 22 so I don't really know - but wish me luck anyways!

If you haven't already, read the Gone Series by Michael Grant - it's fabulous, I read all six of the books in the series in the holidays in SIX DAYS! Yes, I really did read 550 pages everyday... I'm that sad BUT IT'S SO ADDICTIVE! The last book 'Light' is great, and I couldn't really ask for a better last book, but Michael Grant, if you're reading this, which you most likely aren't, please at least write a mini

AAAANYWAY, if you actually read all of this, comment SPAYNESH! in the comments below!
Although nobody really comments or like my articles. Guys, I know I don't really deserve your views, but it would really make my world brighter if I even get one like or comment - seriously.
Just one question - should I put questions at the bottom of the articles I post, because no one really seems to respond to them...

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR
Justin and Selena have got back together.
Gosh, Selena, and I though Beliebers were deluded. WHY, SELENA, WHY? You could do so much better than Justin (honestly, I don't mean to offend anyone - I'm sure 50% of Beliebers would say the exact opposite to what I just said)!

Anyway, before I rant on about the little things in life, good bye!

What To Wear: Teenagers Part 1

So, we're in Spring and Summer is rapidly arriving (although it doesn't look like it on the weather front...) - you can tell that I'm excited for the summer for the following reasons:
1) It's going to be at least a few degrees warmer than it normally is. I'm shivering in my socks, literally (no, I'm actually sitting here with the radiator on full blast, long sleeved t-shirt, wooly socks and a dressing gown around me tight)!
2) SSCCHHOOOOLL'SS OOUUTT FFOORR TTHHEE SSUUMMEERR! Bad thing is, as each day goes past, I get closer to my exams. o_o
3) On the plus side, as each day goes past, I get closer to my Watersports trip with my friends via school next year!
4) I might go on holiday to somewhere really warm... too, too, too warm.

I need some inspiration myself about what to wear (my mum wont buy me anything claiming that I have to many clothes) so I'm just going imagine I could but everything (just imagine! ;)

Let's crack on!

OOOHHHH! BEFORE I START THIS ARTICLE HERE IS SOMETHING I NEED TO SAY: THIS ARTICLE IS GOING TO BE BASED ON THE ATROCIOUS WEATHER WE GET IN THE UK!

Stock Up Time - Preparing For The Summer

It's nearly summertime. Well. If you live in America it may well be summertime already. On the other hand, fellow Europeans, I feel your pain. Literally - the cold is getting to me.

Now, I know that fantasising about your outfits for the summer can be quite satisfying, but why not plan ahead and take a trip down to the shops to buy (at least some of your) summer clothes while the shops are reasonably empty and not crammed with people (like they will be in a couple of months time) after realising they've grown out of their summer clothes and are shocked by the sudden heatwave.

I've gone searching basically every shop you can think of for clothes that are reasonably priced and great for the summer and even for the next few weeks if the weather takes a turn for the better (fingers crossed)!

Here we go!

Before we actually start, I just want to mention that this article is going to consist of different styles of clothes and clothes for different occasions, not just a sort of 'fixed' style.

Anyway, here we go!

(In no particular order)

1) Topshop's Bleach Denim Dungarees

Everyone needs a few dungarees in my life! Although I've never had any... Oh well, as I said this article consists of loads of styles so! This will go fantastic with a plain top or button up sleeveless shirts (you know the ones I'm talking about)!

Mix and match with dungarees - you can just throw them on when heading out and look casual and cute simultaneously! Fact.

You can get your hands on these dungarees for £38.00 - yeah, it might sound a little expensive for a lot of you guys (especially students), but if you think about it, you can get a lot  of wear from it as you can wear it by the beach (I don't live near the beach. Plonk.) or just going shopping with a few mates, or even when heading down to the corner shops! Basically, it's a good buy.

Topshop also has this is Vintage!

2) Superdry's Brittany Crew Neck
Now, I'm not too sure on this myself - mainly because of the price. This is ideal if for the cold summer days where you just need that one extra layer - basically compulsory for any Europeans or anyone who happens to be living in Antarctica. Okay maybe not.

For all I know, this may be the best quality jumper in the world, yet in my eyes it just doesn't seem to match the £44.99 that you would have to hand over to purchase this. I would like it if it was cheaper or my parents bought it for me. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, if you are loaded, go ahead and by this jumper. If not, pop down to primark and look for something similar a fraction of the price ;-)

Would look good over a vest top or a T-Shirt and shorts or if it's a really chilly summers day (or just late spring), pair it with any coloured jeans and pumps! Btw: I like its pockets.

Available in 5 different colours.

3) M&S Pure White Cotton Dress

Now, considering that the last two garments where edging towards the expensive side, I went on a hunt to find something cheaper, yet good quality. Yes. I looked at the children clothes available.

So, I went on M&S Angels, a branch in Marks and Sparks for pre-teen and teen clothes and found this cotton dress which I think is priced reasonably by only being £24.00.

Try purchasing the large or medium sized dresses if in doubt of fitting - I'm sure people with smaller frames will definitely fit and if you're a teenager then I'm guessing you'll fit too!

You can dress this up with a few pieces of sophisticated jewellery and black or shiny pumps for the more formal events or just wear this with your favourite pair of comfy shoes and a thin cardigan!

Available in one colour - white!

4) New Look's Coral Below Knee Dress

In all honesty, New Look is a great place for cheap clothes. Now I chose this dress because it's a very 'beachy' dress, and for those who live by the beach - this is perfect,

You could wear this for a first date or a late night stroll by the beach or river (I live near a big river in England by loads of restaurants)!

I don't know if I would actually wear this myself, not sure if it's my type, but it is a nice blank canvas to build an outfit on.

It can go well with a tan coloured belt, boots/flip flops/flat pumps an a thin cardigan to keep you warm if it gets a little chilly by night!

Basically it's a pop of colour and a pretty cheap pop of colour - a bargain at only £14.99! Available in 2 colours - coral and grey. Grey is quite a nice colour too, basically you could make all your accesories bright so counteract with the slightly miserable grey...

Moving swiftly on.

5) Hollister's Blue Dress

Okay, I will admit that this is slightly biased of me as I am slightly obsessed with Hollister and her 'cousin' Gilly Hicks. I am obsessed.

Actually, I do genuinely love this dress and would be prepared to wear it on a regular basis, plus basically a good 3/4 of my wardrobe is blue. About 2/3 of my wardrobe is Hollister. Yeah.

Anyway, I think the price is pretty reasonable (well, I would say that, wouldn't I!) at £44 because I know I will wear it a lot.

I would just pair this with any comfortable pumps, any colour as long as they aren't like a wacky and weird pair of shoes that doesn't go with the dress.

I LOOOOOOVE IT.

Available in one colour/pattern.

So, I hoped this helped you guys plan your summer wardrobe and most importantly give you inspiration for what to wear in the up and coming months.

An update of my life:
- I may be going to spain next year via my school to do water sports on behalf of the PE department - I just need to be chosen.
- I haven't seen my friend from my old school for 6 months you may ask why. The answer is because I am a lazy old sod who does nothing with her life.
- I don't know what I'm doing with my life. All my motivation to study is lost. I feel useless.
- Youtube is basically my procrastinating weapon.
- It's my half term so I'm free for a week. AKA. Catching up with everything I didn't learn when I was ill for a week plus revising for 3 exams. Life is not living up to its expectations. At all.
SOMEONE STOP SCHOOL. My life would literally be perfect if school didn't exist.

Cherry Out.

PS. Please spread the word about my blog - it really (believe it or not) would mean the world.

Cold Spring - What To Wear

Here is a little collage of some stuff that could give all ages some inspiration for what to wear in the next few weeks... yah... I don't know!
Have fun...

Cherry Out! x

Catwalk Fashion: Wooly Madness!

The catwalk is known as the hotspot of inspiration for many high street and designer brand designers, almost like the building blocks of basically a large majority of what is in our wardrobes. I have fears for what we will be wearing soon based on the latest catwalk designs.
I was actually going to do the type of catwalk articles I normally do - you know, the collages, however I was just too stunned at this wooly monstrosity...
You never know, I might be strolling down the high street in a dead sheep by next winter and so may you. What a deeply worrying though...

I have left you with an illustration of a woman who got in an unfortunate fight with a sheep.

I'm off.

Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo? Here's Some Alternatives That Are Just As Good!

Walking down the shopping centre, staring longingly at some Jimmy Choos, Louboutins or Louis Vuittons, and having that feeling in your stomach wishing you had even one pair to satisfy your needs?

Yeah.

We've all had that feeling.

But, because nearly every girl (and some boys) have had that feeling, I have searched nearly every high street brand to find alternatives! I haven't found any red soled shoes, but I've found almost replicas for a fraction of the price of the Designer Shoes!

First is these Jimmy Choo Black Suede Wedges. A jaw-dropping price of £525!

I have two alternatives for these shoes ^^

Baxter

First are these Andreas Wedge Lace Up Boots which are over 7 times less than the Jimmy Choos by being £70.00 - Not bad, eh?
Now for something a little cheaper (and lower heel) are these Clarks Black Suede Boots at £59.99!

Personally, out of the two I would think that I would prefer the Topshop one. (I haven't worn them though so don't just rely on my advice!)

Topshop Wedges - for those who are used to wearing quite high shoes and can put up with shoes as they get less comfy during the day (or night)! Maybe they're comfy

Clarks Wedges - My mum wore this pair and said that they were really uncomfortable because the back is too short although they are nice looking...
I'll leave you guys to make up your mind!

Now for these gorgeous (slightly odd) Gucci Blue Patent High Heeled Boots - £560. I think I better find some alternatives.

gloria deep blue patent leather high heel bootie
I found these Debenhams Bright Blue Faux Suede High Heeled Boots that are, okay, not exactly the same - but close! And it's reduced with a price of £48.00 so buy quick!
This was a really hard shoe to find alternatives for - I even looked for different colours with the same design and found...
Nothing.

Moving swiftly on.

The price of the following shoes made me literally skip a beat. No, really. Would you be prepared to fish out £1895 for these Jimmy Choo Metallic Leather Platform Peep Toes? As much as I'd love to, I can't (like most people I presume), so here are some alternatives I tried so hard to find:
Kendall

Here is some New Look Platform Heels for £69.99. Okay, I admit they look much cheaper than the Jimmy Choos. Then again they are much cheaper so...!

Also, I found some more Debenhams shoes, theSpecial Edition Silver Peep Toes for a VERY reasonable and slightly reduced £28.80 which is over 65 times less than the Jimmy Choos!
Right, I am officially worn out after that search for shoes - if you want me to find alternatives, just give me a link in the comments below!
That was exhausting.

Cherry out! x

Snuggle Up And Sneeze - A Guide To Get Better When Your ill :-(

Hi! I know, I don't update AT ALL anymore, but that's because I'm super duper in your face busy.
Let me tell you a few things going on in my life:

1) I'm writing two books (one is to be published on wattpad so I'll give you guys the link as soon as it's up) and one is about a school trip to Barcelona in may - and coincidentally I found out yesterday that our school is organising a school trip in may to Barcelona! What are the chances of that?

The first one's called 'The Love and Aim Game' and is about teenage spies.... but I don't know what to call the other one... suggestions?

2) I'm taking part in the BBC School Report and I have two jobs - I write articles to go up on our website and I also (with a group of people) control and research what things we report about - pretty fun stuff, eh?

3) School. I know, the same excuse! But if you come to our school you will know what I mean. It's so much homework (like 5 pieces everyday!) urg.

4) I'm learning 4 languages. Yes, 5. So I learn french (I HATE FRENCH WITH PASSION) and Spanish (which I quite like) at school, but I'm not actually learning any french so I'll leave that out of the languages I'm learning. Also, every now and again my mum is teaching me Turkish and I'm learning German by myself at home. Also, I go to Mandarin class after school every tuesday. So that's Spanish, German, Turkish and Mandarin - not to mention I already speak fluent Farsi and English (meaning I  might talk in a language that might sound like gibberish to you and I won't even realise :-/)

5) I have a new hobby - editing and making videos! I have my first one up on my YouTube 'CherryVizz' (although I have about 10 more I've made). So please check it out!

6) I'm ill. Well, actually this is what the whole article is about.

Here we go with the actual post:

I felt SO SO tired when I came back from school on friday that instead of staying awake until 3 AM, I actually slept. I know, shock horror. By sunday, I had a croaky, sometimes non-existant voice and my nose felt blocked and heavy. Urg. Awful. I also had the odd headache too.

Here are my steps to being well in no time: (I didn't do a lot of this - maybe thats why I'm still ill after 6 days...)

1) Do not go to school, not even to get your books from your locker. Just don't. I didn't go to school on monday but I did on tuesday (stupid me) even though my mum told me not to. And I came back feeling worse than ever.

2) Wear a scarf. End of. Make sure it's not too ugly either.

3) Drink loads of tea. (At the end there's going to be a remedy for sore and croaky throats - my throat hurt so bad I had difficulty swallowing and I though I had tonsillitis!)

Also - have loads of liquids (especially hot liquids) but water and apple juice will do too.

4) Eat chicken (not fried) and (if you can be bothered to make it) chicken soup. This is really good for you. If you're bored of the chicken, get some prawns and boil them, boil some instant noodles and voila! A delicious tasty meal. I suppose you can eat fish too. If your a veggie then pop some plain jacket potatoes in the oven, sprinkle a little salt on them when they come out (no pepper or butter!) and you have yourself a nice simple meal!

5) Don't eat dairy. No butter, yoghurt, cheese. Nope.

6) Make sure you, er, urinate frequently (see step 3).

NOW FOR MY HOME REMEDY!
1) Get a cup (okay yah, I know, basic steps...)
2) Squeeze half a lemon's juice into that cup (you can add more lemon if you want later)
3) Pour hot water from the kettle into the cup and fill it up to however much you want to drink.
4) Honey honey honey! Put some honey in the drink and et voila!
5) Drink up, and drink these however often you like

Some other things I should mention:
Eat a spoonful of honey (manuka honey is best, but any honey will do) as honey is a natural antibiotic!
Gargle salt water every now and again as this is also a natural antibiotic.
Have throat lozenges (soothers) every few hours and if you have one of those sprays for sore throat relief, make sure to use it!
Oh, and SLEEP A LOT!

Get well soon :-) - OH AND HAVE CALPOL YUM YUM
